Messi's reveals new boots in Barcelona

Only 100 pairs of the Barca star's latest boots have been produced, but just 89 of them are going on sale to the public


Lionel Messi’s new limited edition boots — named ‘Messi 10/10’ — went on sale on Saturday at the Adidas store in Barcelona, but only 89 people will be able to get their hands on a pair.

Adidas have made 100 pairs of the boots in total, one of which will go the Barcelona star himself.

The remaining pairs not going on sale have been given to the 10 players the Argentina international supported through his ‘Chosen by Messi’ campaign.

Among those selected were Manchester United’s James Wilson and Chelsea duo Kenedy and Jeremie Boga, who is currently on loan at French side Rennes.

Nigeria U17 gaffer Emmanuel Amuneke has named his 21-man squad players for the Fifa U17 World Cup in Chile.
The Golden Eaglets would be hoping to defend the world title they won two years ago at the United Arab Emirates and have been drawn against Chile, USA and Croatia in Group A.
Regular suspects such as Victor Osimhen, Victor Nwakali and Samuel Chukwueze who were part of the Niger 2015 African U17 Championship made the final list.

The Super Eagles camp swelled on Tuesday evening with the arrival of Mikel Obi for the September 6 Africa Cup of Nations first leg qualifier against Congo at the UJ Esuene Stadium in Calabar. Obi who featured in Chelsea’s 6-3 win against Everton in an English Premier League game increased the total number of players to 17 with the likes of Ogenyi Onazi, Kenneth Omeruo and Sone Aluko in camp.

 Also in camp are goalkeeper Austin Ejide, full back Juwon Oshaniwa as well as attacking midfielder Ahmed Musa who got a brace in CSKA 6-0 win in the Russian Premier League.
Nigeria will take on the Diables Rouges of Congo at the U.J Esuene Stadium at 4pm on Saturday before travelling to South Africa for their game against  the Bafana Bafana in Cape Town.

The Real Madrid star has been voted as the top performer in 2013-14 ahead of Bayern Munich pair and fellow nominees Manuel Neuer and Arjen Robben Cristiano Ronaldo has been named as Uefa's Best Player in Europe for his Champions League-winning heroics with Real Madrid in 2013-14.

The Portuguese, 29, scored a remarkable 17 goals in 11 European games as Carlo Ancelotti's stormed to the Decima and struck three times en route to Copa del Rey glory as Madrid completed the cup double.

Though the Santiago Bernabeu side were less successful in La Liga, Ronaldo still averaged more than a goal a game (31 efforts in 30 matches) as they finished third behind Atletico Madrid and Barcelona.
