The National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, Chief Victor Umeh says no political party has any right to stop any election scheduled by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.
Speaking to journalists in Awka, Umeh said any attempt to stop INEC from discharging its constitutional duties was a breach of the law and should attract serious sanctions.
He dismissed the threat by a political party to use a court process to stop the election, stressing that no court has powers to stop INEC from carrying out its mandate.
Chief Umeh cautioned that the country should not submit itself to excesses of a political party and enjoined the electorate in areas involved in the supplementary election to come out and vote parties of their choice as well as shun any act of provocation to ensure a hitch free exercise.
He equally urged security agencies to provide the needed conducive environment.
