Police arrest robbers who raped pregnant woman

The police in Delta State have arrested three suspects in conncection with the robbery at a hotel in Asaba and the rape of a pregnant woman.
The Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Celestina Kalu, said on Friday that the suspects were arrested by the GRA Division of the force, who were alerted about the incident.
She said, “The robbers attacked the hotel and robbed one Sunday Iduh of his handsets. The hoodlums were said to have also raped a pregnant woman.
“Based on the report, Detectives swung into action and arrested one Victor Uguagu, Ezekiel Ude and Joseph Obiazor. The suspects have been identified by the victims. Investigation is in progress.”
In another development, Kalu said policemen attached to the B Division of the force in Asaba received information that a notorious armed robbery gang leader, Uche Agbo of Ezem Nsukka of Enugu State, who led a four-men armed robbery gang to rob one Celestine Udenyi  of No. 1 Elubuju close, off Americana Street, Asaba two months ago was sighted in the town.
“Detectives swung into action and arrested the said Uche Agbo after they had disarmed him of one AK 47 rifle with Number TA 1485 without magazine.
“Item recovered from him include one AK 47 rifle without magazine. Investigation is going on while efforts are on to track down other members of the gang,” She said.
