LP, APC differ on Amosun’s performance

A House of Representatives aspirant of the Labour Party in Ogun State, Mr. Oladipupo Adebutu, has said the All Progressives Congress under the Senator Ibikunle Amosun-led administration has failed to deliver dividends of democracy to the people of the state.

He made this remark during the inauguration of Youth Empowerment Centre in  Isara, Remo North Local Government area of the state.

Adebutu who’s the son of the lotto magnate, Chief Kessington Adebutu, noted that the administration has failed the people in the areas of health, and education among others.

He said, “The APC promised free health, and free education but today, we all know that none of these is free. The general hospitals are no longer dispensing health care. The model schools they promised are not ready.

“They promised the people of Ogun State good things just to get their votes but now they know better.”

He added that the ruling party had become disconnected from the common man, arguing that the LP would provide good governance.

He said, “APC has lost touch with the common man, instead, what we now have in the state is over-taxation, and they want to attract more businesses to the state. This is anti-investment.”

Adebutu advised the youth to be focused and ensure that they make the best use of centre in updating their knowledge.
In a swift reaction on Thursday, a pro-Amosun group under the aegis of All-Amosun Campaign Group in Abeokuta endorsed the governor for second term based on what they termed his excellent performance so far.

The group, whose leader, Mr. Oyedele   Oluwanbe,  addressed journalists at Iwe Iroyin House, Oke Ilewo, said Amosun, has transformed the state by improving on the infrastructure in all the three senatorial districts.

Oluwanbe noted that the “wave of development in the state within three years in office is so monumental that even the blind could feel.”

He added that Amosun’s administration had performed in the delivery of affordable and qualitative free education, efficient health care delivery services, increased agricultural production, affordable housing and employment generation among others.

He said, “As a result of these wonderful works by the governor that spread across the state, we are convinced that there is no alternative to Amosun in the next governorship election in the state.”
