A bomb blast went off on Wednesday killing three people in the centre of Maiduguri, Borno state capital, North east Nigeria.
The bomb was targeted at security patrol vehicles usually used on tour of duty in other parts of the town.
Prior to this, posters had appeared across the town indicating that there will be no peace in the country unless sharia law is established.
The JTF, confirming the incident said three people including the bomber died in the blast
It also admitted that the improvised Explosive Device was targeted at one of its patrol vehicles
JTF spokesman Lieutenant Colonel Sagir Musa says two civilians were also injured, while the vehicle was damaged.
