Scrap NYSC Now! – Gov. Okorocha

 

Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State has joined the call for the scrapping of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC). He stated this while delivering a speech at the 50th anniversary lecture of the Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, over the weekend.
Okorocha who said that the scheme had outlived its purpose was quoted as saying: “The NYSC was set-up to promote unity but that has failed so, we need to look into other areas to improve the quality of education for our youths.”
