Justin Bieber's personal assistant has been ordered to do community service after police found ecstasy in his room.
Xavier
Domonique Smith, who is also known as Lil Za, was also sentenced to
probation and ordered into a drug treatment programme. He was fined $1,000 (£592) for breaking a phone while in custody, said Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office spokesman Ricardo Santiago.
Smith will also have to pay $600 (£355) to replace the broken phone.
He was arrested in January after police said they found him with drugs while searching Bieber's home for evidence.
They had been called out after a neighbour claimed his home in Calabasas, Los Angeles, had been vandalised by the singer throwing eggs.
Prosecutors in the US are still considering whether to charge Bieber with vandalism.
Police said they found three to four rocks of ecstasy and a number of Xanax and Oxycodone pills in Smith's bedroom, according to a report describing his arrest.
They continued: "It appears he keeps drugs to satisfy young girls that he is around."
On Wednesday the Oxycodone possession charge against him was dropped.
Detectives have also served a search warrant on the photo-sharing site Instagram to try to match images of the pop singer's clothing with surveillance footage of the egg attack.
Authorities said images showing a man who matched Bieber's appearance running from his neighbour's house and high-fiving his friends were seized from the singer's mansion during the search in January.
